While the name Wilson Livestock is new, our experiences with livestock go back a lifetime. Chad has been a sheep breeder since the beginning of his 4-H career at the age of 7. He raised Registered Suffolks for many years before becoming actively involved with the club lamb industry. Krista grew up as part of a diversified cattle and hog operation run by her grandfather and father. We both have rural roots and know the importance of raising a family with these values. We have two children of our own, Jack and Lydia, and also have opened our home to many foster children since 2007. With our foster placements, we have seen the great benefit of the farm and livestock in helping them feel a part of something bigger than themselves. We have worked to get as many children as possible involved in 4-H while they are with us, as well as working with children in our community who are unable to keep their projects at their homes. During the summers, we have a busy barn with kids and their families working with their livestock to prepare for the fair. For us, seeing the 4-H’ers be successful and learn such valuable skills as dedication and hard work has been a great blessing. We look forward to the day when our own children are showing age. We can hardly keep Jack out of the barn and know that as soon as Lydia can walk that he will have a barn-buddy to share in his adventures!

We are anxious to work with you and your family to meet your livestock goals – whether it be breeding livestock or 4-H projects! We are always open for farm visits and love to talk livestock. Give us a call or send an email to set up a time to visit.
